Well, after a long winter and counting the days until June when the Nascar Infinity Series 
arrived in Chicago….
It finally arrived June 19, 20 and 21st (thanks to the rain). 3 days at the track is just what I needed.
Friday, June 19th was practice for both Infinity Series and Arca. On Saturday, a lot was going on with qualifying, and then the Arca race. Before driver introductions, lightning could be seen a bit north of the track, and then the announcement saying “seek shelter”. Within about 20 minutes from that announcement, came the word that the Infinity race would be running at 11am on Sunday – Father’s Day.
Sunday came, and it was a great way to remember my dad by being at the track and watching the Nascar Race and cheering on my friends.
Til September when the Chase Returns to Chicagoland Speedway.
